This package emphasizes aircraft control, situational awareness, and safe decision-making in tailwheel operations. Training is tailored to your experience level and conducted at a professional pace, ensuring you leave confident, competent, and ready to operate tailwheel aircraft safely.

Training includes:

  • Unlimited ground instruction covering tailwheel aerodynamics, ground handling, and risk management

  • Normal, crosswind, and short-field takeoffs and landings

  • Wheel landings and three-point landings

  • Taxi techniques and directional control

  • Emergency and abnormal procedures

  • Endorsement upon demonstrated proficiency per FAA requirements

  • Up to 10 hours of flight time in a J3 Piper cub (if more than 10 hours is needed, flight training will be charged at $220/hr)

This is proficiency-based training — the number of hours required varies by pilot experience and performance.
